DETAILED ITINERARY:

Share 3-Day Tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert with group.

(3 days / 2 nights)

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Valley of the Roses – Gorges of Dades.

On the first day, depart this group desert trip at 08:00, crossing the High Atlas Mountains (2260m) through the port of Tizi N’Tichka with panoramic views. A mountain range that separates the plains of Marrakech from the Sahara desert.

Continue south, taking a 6 km trail that will take us to the village of La Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting, renowned films and Gladiator or the Jewel of the Nile were filmed, you can stroll through the narrow dirt streets and visit some of the traditional houses, which are still inhabited. lunch in the village and then on to Ouarzazate.
This city considered the gateway to the great desert is an important center for film and television, with several studios and film sets. You can visit the Kasbah Taourirt, an old palace that was once the residence of the governor of the region.
The journey continues through Vale das Rosas and M’gona, a region famous for the production of roses and the manufacture of perfumes and beauty products. There, you can visit a local cooperative and learn about the production process for these products.
We continue until we reach the Dades gorges passing through Skoura, a series of narrow and deep gorges carved by the Dades River. We arrived in the afternoon at our hotel in Dades.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Jorf – Erfoud – Merzouga (Camel excursion and desert night)

On the second day of your trip in Morocco, after breakfast and a visit to Dades, we will start a road dotted with Kasbahs, all very different from each other and after several stops, we will reach one of the strong points of the south: the Gorges of Todra which are about 1h30 by car from Dades.
The Todra Gorges are another set of impressive canyons with rock walls up to 300 meters high, formed by the Todra River. It is a climber’s paradise and a unique place. Here, you will be able to hike through the gorge to enjoy the scenery and take some amazing pictures.
Free lunch and continuation of our trip to the desert until we reach the impressive Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga, where we will have a hospitality tea while we rest a little. We will leave the luggage in the accommodation and what we will not use in the desert and we will start the camel excursion for an hour that will take us to the field of Haimas. We will make a stop in the middle of the road to watch the sunset over the dunes and stretch our legs a bit before continuing the journey to the camp, where we will have another hospitality tea before dinner and have the opportunity to climb the nearby dunes. from camp, to discover shooting stars and make wishes, night in the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Er rissani – Alnif – Agdz – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Early in the morning we get up to admire the other enchanting view of the sunrise and then the desert experience, we will ride a camel to return to the lodge. After breakfast, we’ll start our way back to Marrakesh through Rissani, the origin of the Alawi dynasty that reigns in Morocco. Afterwards, we will drive through the Berber villages of Alnif and N’Kob and the Draa valley to Agdez, where we will have lunch. Then we will return to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. We arrived in Marrakech around 7 pm.
